Preamplification

APOLLO 8 UNISON PRES (NEVE 1073, SSL E4K, API VISION, HELIOS 69, 610A, 610B)

Clean and fast preamps built into the Apollo interfaces in the studio. We have many of the unison modeled preamps that adjust the physical hardware within the Apollo to mimic whatever preamp they are modeling.

CALREC PQ3810 SIDECAR CONSOLE W/ EQ (8 preamp channels, 2 stereo line channel strips)

Calrec sidecar console loaded with PQ3810 channel strips, reformatted from a larger console to a smaller footprint. Historically used by the BBC and discerning European studios and broadcast companies. Chock-full of Lundahl transformers, direct outs, and inline EQs on every channel. Can be driven hard for nostalgic, analogue saturation, or with reserve for an accurate representation of whatever you are recording.

CALREC AX1638 DUAL CHANNEL PREAMP

Pulled from a vintage Calrec consoles monitoring section and modified for 2 channels of full bodied preamplification. Loads of Lundahl transformers and stereo as well as individual input and output gain stages for additional gain staging flexibility.

HERITAGE AUDIO HAX73 ELITE

Two channels of classic 1073-styled preamplification. Thick but smooth sound from the hand-wound Carnhill transformers and a massive amount of gain.

SYTEK MPX-4A

Four channels of preamplification from Chicago natives and Neotek console creators, Sytek Audio Systems. Utilitarian, clean, and fast preamps.

CHANDLER LIMITED TG2-500 X 2

Designed after the preamps found in the vintage EMI consoles (The Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc). Driven hard, they will not get brittle but punch back. Brok’s favorite preamp.
